PANACEA
On the midcoast of Maine, two brothers embark on a personal project: rebuilding and sailing their father’s 28ft wooden sailboat, Panacea, that he bought decades ago.
As each piece of the boat comes together, this project will document the heritage of wooden boat building found along Maine’s coast. From shipwrights, to sailmakers, to stewards, this story is about preserving a craft, honoring knowledge passed between generations, and hopefully building a boat that actually sails.
